Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift – US, Louisville

Universal Woods is seeking talented individuals that share the same passion and dedication that we possess to join our team. We are looking for experienced, full-time Maintenance Technicians to work 2nd shift: 1:30 pm – 12 am Monday – Thursday

Maintenance Technicians will perform various tasks in a team environment, including preventative maintenance, repair, design, fabrication, and installation of improvements to equipment and facilities. These positions support the safety, quality, and productivity of the manufacturing and coating of Universal Woods’ performance panels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete implementation of safety, quality, and productivity improvements to manufacturing equipment and facilities
  • Perform self-directed, professional-level mechanical (and electrical) maintenance and installation functions
  • Apply working knowledge of equipment, facilities maintenance principles, methods, and practices
  • Ensure quality materials and supplies are utilized in support of project and improvement plans


  • Associate industrial maintenance or engineering degree (or equivalent), electrician license, electronics, and PLC knowledge preferred
  • 3 – 5 years of applicable experience
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Self-directed with the ability to complete quality work with minimal direction and oversight
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
